Any ideas????

I am in the process of doing some advance sermon planning (I'll bet you didn't know that I actually did that, did you?). In the midst of this I had a thought- why not ask people to submit some topics that they would like to hear a sermon on? So.... post some topics. I will prayerfully sift through them and put together a sermon series. Thanks for you help!

Do the twelve steps. They are originally based on a Bible study anyway. Just take out higher power and put Jesus back in where He belongs. (The eight principles are dorky and the Bible passage they are based on is so taken out of context to support them it's almost embarrassing.) Even though many in our church aren't "in recovery" these steps can apply to any area of life and would benefit everyone. You could have people give testimonies each week on how applying that step affected their life too. It could help CR grow and help those in CR to be more effective in that ministry.

Hey there, Rev! The book I recently read (and passed along to you) The Dream of GOD....would be an excellent starting off point for any number of sermons. It's a tiny book, but deep.
It has had a lasting impact on me and the way I view my purpose in life. It's profound to imagine oneself as a part of God's dream for His creation.

How about going through the bible verse by verse chapter by chapter. Starting in like John and going through to the end of Revelation. Or starting in Genesis and go through to Revelation?
